What I do
I livestream youth hockey games, share highlights, and post real-time updates so families can follow along no matter where they are.
- Live games + recaps.
- Short highlight clips.
- Rink-side moments.
I started livestreaming my kids' games in 2022. It began with the simplest setup possible: a phone, an old tripod, and a cheap camera mount (less than $10 USD). That first season taught me quickly that phone quality matters—especially in rinks with weak Wi‑Fi. I upgraded to a better phone with a stronger camera and faster service.
After streaming two kids' games for most of a year, I wanted more reach and control. I invested in a zoom-capable camera, which meant I needed a laptop and streaming software to keep the stream running. Then came an external microphone to capture rink‑side audio. That is the setup I use today, and I am still experimenting to make the experience better for everyone watching.
It has been a lot of fun, and I have learned a ton along the way. This site is where I share those lessons so others can learn, try it themselves, and help their own teams and families stay connected. Thanks for visiting.

This site exists to show what everyday people can build with modern tools and to keep youth hockey moments visible, shareable, and fun.
